Video is a fast accurate non-contact method of measuring parts made of a variety of materials. You can measure anything that the video camera can see.
The advantages of a video system are, you can zoom from one magnification to another quickly and without losing light. By being able to zoom quickly and easily you are able to measure more accurately at the higher magnifications.
The automatic systems are programmable in all three Axis and the human error is removed by using automatic edge sensing.

The Large Format Multi-Sensor System integrates a high-powered cloud processing software and Starret Multi-Sensor System producing an automated multi-sensor measurement solution for metrology in quality & inspection labs, manufacturing & assembly facilities. The Large Format Multi-Sensor System coordinates the large variety of part measurement protocols that require different sensors for proper measurement, cutting the costs of utilizing several measuring instruments and reducing the failure rate resulting from the complexity of mismatched components.
The process integrates point cloud processing software with a single multi-sensor measuring system, including noncontact vision, touch probe, and metrology-class laser to facilitate the processing of the massive amounts of high-resolution 3D data produced using the laser and other sensors. Once 3D data is obtained and recorded, the machine continues to perform measurements, while the part is advanced to the next stage of production. Simultaneously, specialized point cloud software runs programmed virtual measurements on the data producing a detailed 3D inspection report.
Data collected using the new process can also be reverse engineered into a "smart" dimension-driven 3D CAD model.

CP5K & CP8K

Available in both manual and DCC

mechanical bearing X-Y-Z stage and column platform translates
measurement data accurately and reliably to your choice of
measurement analysis systems.
The manual CP5KM / CP8KM provides
data analysis by either a dedicated metrology digital readout
or PC with your choice of measurement software and image tools.
The CP5K series Video Metrology System configuration includes
6" x 6" x 5.5" (X-Y-Z) travel, zoom optics and precision manual
or DCC drive mechanics.
The CP8K series has a stage travel of
6" x 12" x 5.5" (X-Y-Z).

ConoProbe is a non-contact, single-point measuring sensor based on
conoscopic holography. When integrated into metrology systems, such as the Kinemetric vision systems, it uses mathematical processing to transform the reflected laser beam into a 2D profile or 3D surface.
The ConoProbe easily processes an impressive variety of working ranges when using interchangeable lenses.
Its sophisticated DSP (Digital Signal Processor) technology offers:
- Superb precision (sub-micron with certain lenses)
- Good measurement frequency (850 Hz)
- Calibration data storage for up to 31 different calibrations
- Extensive angular range coverage up to 170ยบ wide.
