FARO’s portfolio of portable coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) includes measuring arms, laser trackers, 3D laser scanners, and 3D imagers. These portable CMMs can be used for both contact and non-contact measurement.

The FARO Quantum S FaroArm is the world’s most innovative portable coordinate measuring machine (PCMM) that allows manufacturers easy verification of product quality by performing 3D inspections, dimensional analysis, CAD comparison, tool certifications, reverse engineering, and more.

The Quantum S is the first arm to meet the new and most rigorous ISO 10360-12:2016 international measurement quality standard. The Quantum S sets a new industry benchmark and extends the FARO tradition of maximum measurement consistency and reliability in every working environment.

The FARO Quantum S is available in four working sizes (6ft, 8ft, 10ft, and 12ft) and it is the most intuitive, ergonomic, and accurate arm that FARO has ever delivered. Perfectly suited for high accuracy measurement tasks, it helps manufacturers meet their most demanding specifications on parts and assemblies.

This version of the FaroArm can be upgraded to make it a Quantum ScanArm by adding either version of the FAROBlu Laser Line Probe, or FARO Prizm Laser Line Probe. You can further enhance the versatility by adding the rotating eight-axis option as shown in the image to the right.
