At Q-PLUS Labs, we are always looking for the latest innovations in the world of dimensional metrology, especially when it relates to our direct brand relationships and the products we use every day. Check out some new and existing products for dimensional metrology in 2021. (Some of these products were released in the final quarter of 2020 but are still relatively NEW to the marketplace.)
ZEISS O-DETECT – The ZEISS O-DETECT optical measuring machine offers intuitive operation, high-quality imaging and flexible lighting for precise measurements in an instant. The optical measurement system is suitable for a wide variety of components but excels with those that are best left untouched.
ZEISS Visioner 1 – Digital microscope featuring MALS™ technology, real-time all-in-focus optical inspection. Classic inspections systems offer shallow depth of field, this means that parts of the sample may not be in focus, which can lead to missing features, user fatigue, and incomplete inspection.
FARO Laser Tracker 6DoF Probe – FARO Technologies has announced its next generation Vantage Laser Tracker 6 Degrees of Freedom (6DoF) Probe. The new 6Probe offers exceptional portability and is compatible with FARO Vantage S6 and VantageE6 Laser Trackers, enabling users to build, inspect and measure products faster and with greater accuracy.
AVX550 – The AVX 550 is an all-new designed large format CNC multi-sensor inspection system, offering an inspection envelope of 22”x 16”x 10” (550mm x 400mm x 250mm) on the X-Y-Z axes. New to the AVX550 is the option to configure dual camera inputs, allowing the user to make measurements on both the macro and micro levels without changing lenses or recalibrating. Optics options include fixed or interchangeable large field of view telecentric lenses and dedicated 12:1 zoom optics. Ideal for use in QC labs, research, engineering, or manufacturing environments where large parts with many intricate features need inspection.
AVR-FOV 0.14 – The AVR-FOV 0.14 CNC field of view “FOV” vision system offers 12″ x 8″ x 8″ travel, optional Z-axis measuring, a powerful MetLogix software control system, interchangeable telecentric or zoom optics and LED illumination. These systems are rapid video-based FOV CNC measurement systems, which reduce measurement time and are ideal for quality assurance, inspection labs, manufacturing, assembly and research facilities. A precision mechanical bearing X-Y-Z stage and column along with interchangeable telecentric lenses gathers data accurately and with repeatability for the MetLogix software.
Starrett Datasure 4.0 – Starrett has announced the introduction of DataSure 4.0, an advanced wireless data collection system for acquiring precision measurement data. With unprecedented range and data security, multiple gateways, compact size and high speed, Starrett, a forerunner in the development of data collection solutions for quality control manufacturing applications, claims the system has taken data acquisition to a new level.
